Before SSDs, if a hard drive died on you, it was sometimes possible to freeze it back to life. In hindsight, we should have taken pictures of the firewire cords coming out of the freezer, connected to our laptop as we tried to transfer data before the drive warmed up and stopped working again. Those would have been better pictures.
